About the role

Automated is seeking a highly motivated and organised Junior Technician to join our team. As a Junior Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting our lighting control systems. You will collaborate closely with our team of engineers and designers to ensure the smooth installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of our systems, providing technical assistance to clients both on-site and remotely.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assisting in the commissioning and troubleshooting of lighting control systems.
  • Providing technical support to clients, both on-site and remotely.
  • Collaborating with project managers and team members to ensure project success.
  • Maintaining accurate records of work performed, including test results and customer service reports.
  • Continuously learning and staying current with new technologies and industry trends.

Skills and experience

To be successful in this role you will have but not limited to:

  • Strong technical background with experience in electrical systems and/or lighting control preferred.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively. 
  • Willingness to travel to job sites across Australia as required.
  • Basic Microsoft Office 365 and SharePoint skills.
